Note on the interplay of consumption, infrastructure, growth and markets

For a country to grow, infrastructure is imperative. Consumption in isolation cannot grow forever and has to be backed by infrastructure creation else it will lead to inflation, tightening of interest rates and current account deficit thereby resulting in dwindling stock market returns. The attached note explains this phenomena which we have been highlighting in our presentations.
