Business Development Manager - Chennai

Responsibilities

  • Handling the B2B (business to business) initiative of the company that focuses on developing tie-ups and managing relationships with financial advisors engaged in the business of selling mutual funds and / or insurance / other financial products

  • Exploring opportunities for expanding universe of such existing advisors by introducing Mutual funds/ Life Insurance to other kinds of financial intermediaries (Postal agents, Stock brokers, Tax consultants, etc)

  • Conducting training programs for the financial advisors and being actively involved in their development process

  • Developing business plans and guiding the advisors in execution of the same

  • Business Generation and Opportunity Identification

  • Key Account Acquisition, Management and Relationship Building

  • Planning, forecasting and reviewing of market trends

  • Customer Relationship Management

Requirements

  • MBA with relevant experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of prior work experience

  • Passionate, driven and result oriented and willing to take ownership

  • Aptitude to constantly learn and update oneself with latest developments in the field of investments

Client Investment Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between our research team and customers by helping to improve the communication of investment recommendations and ideas to customers

  • Keep abreast of customer needs and investment market trends

  • Acquire and maintain good relationships with customers

  • Execute sales strategies to achieve given targets

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve business goals

  • Deliver effective and efficient transactional and operational support

Requirements

  • Degree holder with 2 years related working experience (Preferably in Banking/Sales/Marketing)

Research Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on markets and funds analysis

  • Conduct presentations to clients with regards to research views

  • Work with content team for research content on web portals and magazine (including web casts, interviews and web articles)

  • Assist in funds set up process and ensuring proper due diligence before the funds are set up

  • Train analysts to understand the companys research methodology and improve their research capabilities

  • Conduct research with a business perspective attached to research

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Accountancy or Engineering with 1 - 3 years of work experience in equity / market research

  • A professional certification (CFA/CFP/LIFA or equivalent) is desirable

  • Proficient in written English and presentation skills

  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strategic thinking, commercial awareness and an enquiring mind

Software Developer

Responsibilities

  • Gather user technical requirements and translate them into system designs

  • Actively evaluate, design and develop software modules, application and solutions

  • Software testing and quality control

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science/Application, Technology or related field

  • Must have strong technical expertise in programming and coding skills

  • Development experience in Java is mandatory

Operations Executive

Responsibilities

  • Complete all transactions assigned, which includes account opening, transaction processing, commission processing and reconciliation of transaction/account opening and other daily operations processes

  • Be quality focused and work efficiently to reduce cost by adopting various automation processes

  • Preparing various types of MIS on a periodic basis

  • Ensuring smooth operations within the company

  • Liaising with Fund Houses and Registrars and Transfer Agents with regards to orders and other operational matters

  • Assisting in implementing procedures

  • Proposing new enhancement and products of existing system

  • Ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation actions are performed

Requirements

  • Skilled in Excel, MS Access, MS word

  • Understanding of commission calculation and above average skills in reconciliation and settlement activity

  • Graduate Degree in Commerce

  • Passionate, driven and result oriented

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of prior work experience in mutual fund operations preferred

  • Proficient in written English and communication skills

  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills
