The general view among fund managers are emerging markets and asia. Also technology and commodities are included.

For emerging market I will still stick to China and India as I feel safer, having a better understanding of these two countries as they are closer to home.

I will still concentrate on Asia as USA and Europe has stabilized but still not totally out of the wood. As for the countries in Asia, the common view is South Korea,
China, India. If you are a Singaporean, I will bet on Singapore this year especially. We have a good understanding of Singapore with the integrated resorts opening, the youth olympics and the positive comments from our PM'
Personally I am concentrated on Asia excluding Japan fund, India and Singapore.
But my portfolio is not diversified as I intend to fully concentrate on Asia for a while.

Ooops sorry I did not read your question properly. If you are thinking of a five year plus investment time, you should have a balanced portfolio that includes USA, Europe and the World. But honestly investment has become so volatile that it is
hard to plan for long term.
